Cloud Ray’s identity is the philosophy of the Yin Yang, the belief that opposing forces are not merely complementary, but inseparable. Masculine and feminine energy, vulnerability and confidence, elegance and rebellion all coexist within his work. He can move between singing and rapping, pair emotional writing with commanding production, and shift between introspection and intensity without losing his identity. His influences range from early Kanye West and Nicki Minaj to Pitbull, The Black Eyed Peas, Nas, and J. Cole. Their innovation, versatility, global energy, and storytelling depth have helped shape a sound grounded in Pop and Hip Hop, with elements of alternative R&B, electronic production, dance music, and Caribbean influence.
His debut EP, Urban City Elegance, surpassed one million streams and introduced the contrast between refinement and raw city energy that continues to define his artistry. That foundation led to a national tour, performances in cities including New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Miami, Dallas, and New Orleans, and an international run through France, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Cloud Ray has performed at the historic Franklin Theatre in Tennessee, SOB’s in New York City, and Brixton Jamm in London. His catalog includes Burn It Down, Drip, Can’t Blame U, We Need, Gaslighter, and Lovesick.
In 2026, Lovesick, performed by Jay Doce featuring Cloud Ray and Jordan Massey, was nominated in the Rap and Hip Hop category at the Hollywood Independent Music Awards. On July 30, 2026, the song won the award at the Avalon in Hollywood, giving Cloud Ray his first award winning release. Symphonic, the distributor through which the song was released, was also recognized that evening in the Record Label and Distributor category.
He has contributed behind the scenes to major entertainment productions, including VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: New York.
